The introductions gives you a first insight into the I Matter approach and the importance of relationship health.

They help you think about your current roles and decide whether you would like to continue to Learn the I Matter Framework.   

All introductions are included in the Organisation Access Starter Plan
This helps staff and families develop some shared language.

What the introductions are

The introductions offer a short online learning experience for professionals, parents, and anyone interested in improving wellbeing and relationships.

They help understand how I Matter learning can used to make sense of stress, communication, and everyday relational challenges.

You can complete the introduction courses in your own time

A simple independent introduction to the ideas.

👉 Introduction for Personal Learning: Adult-Adult and Parents and Carers
Focused on understanding family and child wellbeing through a relationship health lens (£5 or free via partner organisations)

👉 Introduction for Professionals and Senior Leaders
Designed for those working in health, education, or leadership roles (£5 or free via partner organisations)


What you will explore

In the introductions, you will begin to understand:

  • why relationship health is a key part of wellbeing for adults and young people
  • how current approaches to mental health can miss important relationship factors
  • how your own understanding and responses influence outcomes
  • how the I Matter approach offers a different way of seeing everyday situations

These are an introductory overview — not a full training course.

  • parents and carers
  • anyone supporting emotional wellbeing in others
  • people curious about new approaches to relationships and wellbeing

No prior knowledge is needed.

After the introduction, you can choose to:

  • stop and reflect
  • attend a live session
  • or continue into further learning

A Get Started Live Workshop

This could be a stand alone learning session or could be followed by the Community Wheel membership OR you could progress directly to

Level 1-2 Online: The I Matter Framework Fundamentals

This self-paced learning opportunity offers a structured introduction to the I Matter Framework. It builds your understanding and introduces practical ways of applying the model.   It can be supplemented by extra study support.   We encourage a live workshop but it is not required to join L1-2.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are taking part in an introduction or in a Level 1-2 online course via an invitation from a Certified Practitiioner they will provide you with a link to a specific page to register.

The I Matter approach is a relationship health framework designed to support clearer understanding of wellbeing, stress, and interaction in everyday life.

It is not a clinical or therapeutic service. It is a structured learning approach that supports reflection, communication, and awareness in both personal and professional contexts.
